It is arguable that faith in the Real Presence has mainly been weakened due to the lack of two traditional practices:  

Ad Orientem worship (facing Liturgical East)  and kneeling for reception of Holy Communion on the tongue. 

Each is a “lex orandi” (law of prayer). We need prayer, fasting and clear communication of our desire to bring back traditional practices for the love of God!
